Up here in the Nordic countries we're a small, fairly uniform, very rich, well-educated (to a degree - pun intended), technological advanced population. The marked might be small, but it's still a nice little marked.
Do you honestly see Apple pull out of a similar marked, let say New Your city, just because an unresolved quarrel with the local government...?

BTW, I had to laugh when they demoed FMV used as a wallpaper in Vista, and the crowd ooohed and awwed and clapped. :)

It looks like I was thinking of how you can use a screensaver as your wallpaper. Both Moving Desktop and Coolbackground. Serene Saver also uses FMV as wallpaper. So it's possible, but it's not built in quite yet.

Well, if you've ever ripped a DVD you bought to watch it on the iPod, a non-DVD laptop, etc., he's the guy who made that possible. Legal grey area? Possibly. Useful, positive and productive? In my mind: Hell, yeah!

Perhaps all the developers are spending too much time on Leopard and Logic 8 at the moment.
You're kidding, right? Besides the fact that all are different teams, Logic has had FAR less development than Aperture as well as most other apple apps (with the obvious exception of Soundtrack Pro, which hasn't had a single improvement in over a year, and has always run like crap). I'd kill to see Logic development moving at the speed of Aperture.

I find it highly unnecessary for the TSA to pat down kids, especially, kids younger than 8-9 yrs old.

The only thing I can seriously see Apple buying from AMD is the new portable ATI Radeon� Xpress 1150 Graphics card for the MacBook range.
AMD portable CPUs are complete rubbish, the Turion 64 the Turion AM2x and the mobile Sempron range are completely inferrior to any mobile Intel CPU.
If Apple does release an AMD laptop I will NEVER buy it.

another thing people should keep in mind is...why release all new products at one event when you can stagger the release and keep interest over a longer period of time.
i.e macbook pro updates are coming, just like most of things people want (although SOME of the things some people want are just downright crazy), but it wont happen at once, and its gonna take a while!
I hope they will not delay MBP to avoid canibalism with MBA.

Second, the songs can be played on a Mac computer with iTunes, a Windows computer with iTunes, iPods. They can also be burned to an audio CD which can be played on millions of devices.
How is that "iPod-only"?! :confused:

To complement my earlier screen shots from 2001 and I just found my original upgrade CD! from 10.0 to 10.1 love the way it states "Requires Mac OS X" quite a funny comparison when you look at in just 10 years OS X has gone from a 650Mb CD to a 8Gb Apple USB Drive :eek:

I can afford one but the lack of MKV playback is the deal killer. So that makes it $499 to browse the internet.

i have to agree with killuminati here (without even being a rap person).. your theory that because he uses the n word (which by the way can still be seen as a proactive measure to take racist words away from non blacks) is contradictory to being religious/spiritual is absurd. same goes for cursing in general. did you ever think that perhaps the n word isn't seen as curse amongst many blacks? we're not talking about white people calling black people n's here, it's a big difference.

Apple needs to start working on a new business model while the studios are still suing their customers and the TV boom is still on. If they dont they're going to be beaten overseas. Enough with the legal rhetoric damn it, evolve your business model or you'll lose.
