Publicity really boosts these auctions. They're easy to miss if you're not paying attention the week the auction is on.
If you hadn't mentioned it maybe nobody would have noticed and you could have got it for the $100 reserve as the only bidder!
I don't trust how stable this Newton will be. I was searching for NEwtons on eBay when I found it. Just thought that I would help the guy out/ get more info by making a thread about it.

I Have not installed the last update yet, but, if battery life were to improve as much as people say with every update, people would only have to charge their iPhones once a month... :rolleyes:

Ok my mom just got a cable modem today. I have dsl at my house so I'm not sure if i'm doing everything right. The problem is, the airport is not getting an ip address from the modem. I just un-pluged everything for 8min and still nothing(This is applecare said to do.) The modem works fine when hooked up to a computer direct. Anyone have any hints at all. This is really getting to me. Shes running 10.2.6 and all the newest versions of airport/basestation etc.

I'm basically jailbreaking for the multitouch gestures, since I'm on a Windows and can't use xcode.
Then be sure to jailbreak with Sn0wBreeze 2.3b4 and not 2.3b1~2 as they give less than the best user experience. iH8sn0w.com for some reason seems to have issues with the correct link to Sn0wBreeze 2.3b4 when you use IE9/8 and often points to just Sn0wBreeze 2.3b2 :(

You're pretty pissed ... rather beyond pissed? And people tell me to relax!
It is the holiday season, I would expect much less than a **** ton of bundles.
I just can't understand why they can't sell things separately and then give you a discount when you buy the two things together (since that's basically what they're doing with Kinect bundles and game bundles).
So now I'm going to have to wait a week for a stand-alone 4gb, or cough up another $100 for things that I don't even want so that I can have something to do over my winter break. I honestly don't remember all of this bundle crap existing when I bought my 360 ~4 years ago, you had the option of buying the system alone and that was it.
So yeah I am pissed off.

You phone searching for a tower to "talk" to is VERY hard on the battery. This is likely your major problem.

Sure, under the Activator settings, you can set what does what. Click on the Anywhere button, then scroll down to "Status Bar".
I have double tap status bar set to bring up the application switcher. Swipe right brings up sbsettings, swipe left brings up system settings. Swipe down brings up the home springboard.

Yes, it does, but you must have a certain post count to reach it.

I am unable to connect my apple wireless keyboard to another mac in my office .....even after disconnecting it from the earlier one.......
the other mac is identifying my mac as available bluetooth device but not my keyboard...(it is turned on)...
can any of you guys help me in figuring out ? am i missing something basic ?

I may be the only one, but I think that thread titles with repeated question marks (?????) are annoying and unnecessary. It only suggests unnecessary urgency and importance to the thread the poster has written. Therefore I think there should be a rule that states that threads with more than one repeated question mark in the title will be deleted until renamed.

I bought my iMac in 2008 and I did not upgraded to Leopard or Snow Leopard. Lion will be released soon. Can I wait until Lion is released and then upgrade to Lion or will I be required to upgrade to Leopard prior to upgrading to Lion:confused?:?

To sue someone, you have to know who they are so you can serve them. What's Apple going to do, sue comex? chpwn? Apple doesn't know who they are. Sony knew who geohot was because he's an attention whore.
His point is that it doesn't matter who is right and who is wrong, or what is or isn't legal. What matters is who can maintain a long strung-out legal battle (Sony) and who can't (the average person).
I expect George hasn't made efforts to hide his identity for two reasons:
1) He's not doing anything illegal, so why should he have to hide
2) "Hiding" is largely futile anyway. I expect the FBI probably already know who comex and chpwn are.

Simple answer - No we can't.
Longer answer - Only you know how many games you will be wanting to install on XP, similar to the above poster, I only play one game which requires Windows, so I set mine to 40GB, which was enough for OS and the game.
One piece of advice I would give you is to partition your drive into 3, one for Mac OS, one for Windows and a third 'spare' partition. THat way if you find yourself running out of space on either Mac or Windows you can format the 'spare' partition appropriately, or even split the spare into two.

You do not get it. I never had any intention of deleting these files with out knowing what they were. This is why I created a thread entitled, "Safe to delete these files" hoping that someone here would know what they were. If my thread was called, "Is it a good idea if I delete these files even though I have no idea what they are" then your help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree a PM is more suitable and reckon I'll buy one within 12 months but as a cheaper alternative the Mini makes a great stop-gap.
You don't have to go straight from a mini to a PM. What about an iMac if you need more power? :)
