when i set the phone up, no matter what order i establish my two mail accounts in the phone, the mail app always lists the Google Exchange account as the bottom one, while my yahoo account is on the top. Even though the exchange account is default, the mail app always want to open the top one first (most times)
has anyone here figured out a way to make the Exchange account appear as the first one on the list?

It's a black wallpaper that I've seen on many iPhone apps and applications on OSX.
It has somewhat of a cross patching
Do you know what I'm talking about?

I have been wanting to get an HD for scratch disks and to edit directly onto the external HD in Final Cut.
Due to my lack of experience with external HD'S, I went ahead and bought a 1TB USB 3.0 Western Digital passport drive.. but I just found out about Firewire 800 that is seemingly faster and better for constant transfer (which I believe video editing falls under).
I'm just wondering how significant the difference is? Afaik, right now the biggest Firewire 800 drive available (that runs power off source and not outlet) is the Western Digital 640GB, and it costs around $40 more than the 1TB USB 3.0 passport.
Is it worth the upgrade if size/cost isn't an issue? I could always get a bigger USB3.0 drive for storage, and then use the FW800 drive for editing, but don't really want to make the plunge unless the speeds are considerably faster/noticeable. Any insight would be lovely.
Thanks!

Sorry I actually know what a MIP is I meant to ask what MPI is.
Oh, well, (in a nasal tone) never mind... (a salute to Gilda)! And, I haven't the foggiest idea what an MPI is! :D

I also don't believe you can use SAS drives, as the bays still use standard SATA connectors.
The 2009 model does mention the use of SAS but the 2010 model only mentions SATA. It might be that since the 2010 model there is no SAS support anymore but I can't find much information about it.
But one company that does a decent job of it is Oracle.
If by that you mean pissing off everybody than yes, Oracle is very good at that. If you mean decent jobs on software...that is highly debatable (OpenOffice.org, Linux, Solaris, OpenSolaris, btrfs, zfs, etc.).

Hello!
Does anybody know a good program to reverse scrolling on Windows 7 (x64)? I am so used to the "reversed scrolling" that I will always try to scroll backwards in Windows. This is soo confusing especially since Windows often doesn't use smooth scrolling...
Hopefully Apple will update Bootcamp with that functionality when Lion comes out but until then it would be nice to have something else...
Thanks in advance!

I think the reason why new sub-forums are created is when there is a relatively big number of threads in other sub-forums that are similar and not really related to the topics of the sub-forums. If there are many threads about Science and Apple in current forums, then it might be worth it to create a new sub-forum that is dedicated to that topic.
For example, the creation of OS X Lion sub-forum made sense because it is a topic that is a bit different from normal OS X discussions since currently it's mainly speculation. It is pretty easy to separate normal OS X discussions (mainly troubleshooting and questions) and speculation of future OS X. This makes it easier for people to navigate and find threads. Otherwise Lion discussions might have conquered the whole OS X sub-forum. Lion is also a hot topic so it gets a lot traffic, meaning that it's not a dead sub-forum.
I haven't seen any threads that would belong to Science and Apple sub-forum. You need to have something to start with. Making a new sub-forum and wishing that someone comes in and makes a thread doesn't make much sense. Just because there isn't a sub-forum for every topic about Apple doesn't mean that there should be.
This doesn't sound like a topic that would generate a lot interest and discussion. If you really want to talk about this, go and make a thread to Apple, Industry and Internet Discussion (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8). That should be a good start at least. There are topics such as Hackintoshes that show up every now and then but there still isn't an own sub-forum for them.

Ok then. That sounded like a pretty messy KP for it to cause fsck to need to fix something. Hmm. Keep an eye on it.
As for the screen not coming back on from a sleep, well, it's certainly possible - especially if you supect a rogue driver. Personally, I don't let my 12PB sleep on it's own - I've turned it off in Energy Saver. It sleeps only when I ask it to, mostly by closing the lid. I also never power it down my current uptime is 13 days 17 hours.
What mp3 player are you using? Have you tried to load it without drivers?
Archos Jukebox Recorder 15 which, I believe, uses the ISD-200 IDE->USB bridge. I think the only OS with built-in support for it is Linux. It didn't work at all on the ibook until I loaded the 10.2 Jaguar drivers provided by Archos. With the drivers installed, it shows up as a removable hard drive when I plug it in. Same as it does with Windows.

You couldn't come up with any answers by searching? This is a pretty common problem.
Someone asked it already this week and it's still on the 1st page of this forum.

I find Snow Leopard to be very outdated after I have tried Lion. Love Mission Control and all the little fixes here and there.
When I'm going to university after this summer I will leave my iMac back home so my mother can switch over to Mac and it will be much easier for her to switch to Lion rather than Snow Leopard. One important reason for that is that they have made it more similar to iOS.
Great move by Apple.

Hope they realize soon that releasing Xcode updates shouldn't bee 4Gig download every time.
I agree, I'm starting to get sick of these 4 gig downloads for 4.01, 4.02, jeez.
